Record Class WGPUDevice.Ptr
- All Implemented Interfaces:
IPointer,Iterable<WGPUDevice>
- Enclosing class:
WGPUDevice
Represents a pointer to WGPUDevice handle(s) in native memory.
Contracts
The property segment() should always be not-null
(segment != NULL && !segment.equals(MemorySegment.NULL)), and properly aligned to
MemoryLayout.byteAlignment() bytes. To represent null pointer, you may use a Java
null instead. See the documentation of IPointer.segment() for more details.
The constructor of this class is marked as UnsafeConstructor, because it does not
perform any runtime check. The constructor can be useful for automatic code generators.

reinterpret
Assume the
WGPUDevice.Ptris capable of holding at leastnewSizehandles, create a new viewWGPUDevice.Ptrthat uses the same backing storage as thisWGPUDevice.Ptr, but with the new size. Since there is actually no way to really check whether the new size is valid, while buffer overflow is undefined behavior, this method is marked asUnsafe. This method could be useful when handling data returned from some C API, where the size of the data is not known in advance.
If the size of the underlying segment is actually known in advance and correctly set, and you want to create a shrunk view, you may use
slice(long)(with validation) instead. -
offset
-
slice
Note that this function uses theList.subList(int, int)semantics (left inclusive, right exclusive interval), notMemorySegment.asSlice(long, long)semantics (offset + newSize). Be careful with the difference -

equals
Indicates whether some other object is "equal to" this one. The objects are equal if the other object is of the same class and if all the record components are equal. All components in this record class are compared withObjects::equals(Object,Object). -
segment
Returns the value of thesegmentrecord component.
